About the role
Levelge is building the professional network for the game industry — a place for developers, creators, executives, founders, publishers, investors, service providers, and other industry professionals to connect, discover opportunities, and build meaningful relationships. We’re looking for a Community Outreach Intern to help us grow and engage the Levelge community. This is a part-time, remote internship requiring approximately 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility around school, work, or other commitments. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone interested in gaming, community building, marketing, startups, or the business side of the game industry. What You'll Do As a Community Outreach Intern, you'll work directly with the Levelge team to identify and connect with professionals across the game industry and help introduce them to the Levelge community. Responsibilities may include: - Identify game industry professionals, creators, developers, executives, founders, and other potential Levelge members. - Conduct outreach through LinkedIn, Discord, Facebook, email, social media, industry communities, and other channels. - Help introduce Levelge to potential members and encourage them to join and complete their profiles. - Research game studios, publishers, service providers, investors, industry organizations, and other companies to add to or engage with the Levelge ecosystem. - Identify relevant game industry communities, associations, schools, events, and organizations for potential partnerships and outreach. - Welcome new members and help create a positive onboarding experience. - Encourage community participation across discussions, groups, events, jobs, opportunities, and other areas of the platform. - Help identify interesting people, companies, games, conversations, and opportunities to highlight within the Levelge community. - Gather feedback from members and prospective users about their experience with Levelge. - Track outreach activity, responses, signups, and community growth. - Bring new ideas for growing and strengthening the Levelge community. Who We're Looking For You don't need years of experience. We're looking for someone who is curious, proactive, personable, and excited about connecting with people. You may be a great fit if you: - Have a strong interest in the video game industry. - Enjoy meeting people and building relationships. - Are comfortable reaching out to people you haven't met before. - Communicate clearly and professionally. - Are familiar with LinkedIn, Discord, Reddit, and other online communities. - Are organized and comfortable keeping track of outreach and follow-ups. - Are interested in community building, marketing, business development, events, or startups. - Can work independently and take initiative. - Can commit approximately 10–15 hours per week. - Want to learn more about how the business side of the game industry works. Existing connections within the game industry are helpful, but not required. What You'll Gain This internship provides an opportunity to: - Build relationships across the video game industry. - Learn how an early-stage professional network and community grows. - Gain hands-on experience in community development, growth marketing, and business development. - Work directly with the founders of an early-stage startup. - Develop a deeper understanding of game studios, publishers, platforms, investors, service providers, events, and other parts of the gaming ecosystem. - Help shape the community strategy of a platform being built specifically for the game industry.
